After another year of listening to the album (I only got it about midway through last year) - I still love it.

Well this is belated, but anyway ...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO BUILDING THE PERFECT BEAST!!!

This is definitely not my favorite of Don's solo albums but it does have my favorite solo song on it ... of course - the awesomeness that is The Boys of Summer.

I have been thinking about some of the comments on the album, particularly the ones about the synthesizers and the "80s feel" to the album. Being a realatively "fresh" listener, I can't say I've particularly noticed either one... but then again, I was a teenager in the 80s when I first really started listening to music, so maybe it just seems normal to me!

Really like this one. It has two out of three of my favorite Don songs (That being TBOS and ASWTDID). The other one being Dirty Laundry from I Can't Stand Still.

I was just a kid when this came out but I love it. It introduced me to Don Henley who is my favorite singer EVER.

I love this album. It has classics like Boys of Summer and Sunset Grill, alongside funky songs like All She Wants To Do Is Dance and sweet ballads like A Month of Sundays. Not Enough Love In The World is one of my favourites - it just brings a smile to my face when I hear it, and I adore the lyrics. Don's voice is gorgeous and I, of course, love Danny Kortchmar's influence on this album.
