Once again, it's the anniversary of the release of Building the Perfect Beast - my favorite of Don's solo albums.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUILDING THE PERFECT BEAST!
It's my second favorite only because HOTM is on Innocence, but I do love this CD. I haven't listened to it in a while, I tend to shuffle by artist and leave the individual albums alone, but Boys of Summer will sound good on the way to work.

You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
I didn't like BOS for years, but it has grown on me.
They played ASWTDID a lot on my radio station along with DL. I think those are my favorite songs along with SG.
Happy 29th Birthday, BTPB. Oh my. I didn't know that album been out that long. Almost 30 years.

Love this album, can't believe it's almost 30 years old either. It came out right when I was first getting into rock music, Don has been a part of my life pretty much ever since. Boys Of Summer was one of the first videos I ever saw ~ back when MTV played videos. Happy birthday to a great album!

Wow, can't believe it's 29 years old either!
Love BOS, ASWTDIS, and SG!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BUILDING THE PERFECT BEAST!!!
Sorry I missed this yesterday, but better late than never as we always say. As I've said many times before in this thread, while this isn't my favorite of Don's solo albums, it contains the incomparable The Boys of Summer along with ASWTDID, NELITW, and Sunset Grill, so it definitely has many redeeming qualities.

Happy Birthday, Building the Perfect Beast!
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
My favorite Henley solo album...
I prefer the more pop rock side of Henley's solo stuff to the acoustic stuff with the exception of THOTM. I love TBOS and ASWTDID from this album and Dirty Laundry from the first album.
