I have just spent the last half hour rewatching these videos... and I wonder how it's possible to be so in love with someone I've never met! In those early Poco days, I can honestly say, those are some of THE most amazing vocals I have EVER heard.
Ok ltlh. You talked me in to going and watching it again. I've always loved ROC and now I love it more. Timothy is adorable there and I love his big bell bottoms.
I have the vinyl ROC and Legend, but don't know much about Poco otherwise. <ducking> Is that Ritchie Furay the other lead singer on ROC? And I assume it's in the early 70's?

Brooke, I'm loving the bell bottoms too!
That is actually Paul Cotton singing lead. ROC was done in 1976, and Richie left Poco in 1974. Don't be afraid to ask! We all start out somewhere
Don't you love the alternating foot tapping on ROC too?
Brooke, Paul Cotton has a much deeper soulful sounding voice... where as Richie Furay sings rather high. Just to help you out with other songs you may hear.
I know, it would be so much simplier if they just listed who sang lead and co-lead on each song? When I first started paying attention to the Eagles I had to listen really hard to pick out who was lead vocals... now it's so easy to tell. Like Melissa said, we all have to start out somewhere.
Ok! Thanks for the help!

Man - they've got the vocal tools! That's some fabulous singing...
**OFF TOPIC** Incidently - I don't know if you've heard of this, but there is a web site called "legal sounds" and you can buy tracks for 0.09 cents each...I checked and they have some Poco stuff - very good sounding too...good quality - IF you're not just wanting the "album" itself for collecting purposes.
This is a nice sight as the artist aren't getting robbed like in bootleg copies...
you can check it out at legalsounds.com You do have to have an account and put a starting amount in your account, like 10 or 20 bucks, then just start downloading...I've used it a lot... **BACK ON TOPIC**

He sings it high, he plays it low
While Timothy isn't actually in this video, it features the rare soundtrack song "Leaving It Up to You." Quite a nice song, IMHO!

(For the curious, the move is 1985's Secret Admirer.)
I was literally LMAO watching Timothy sing back up on this.
