Happy anniversary to Don and Sharon.
Here's to (hopefully) 20 more!

People don't run out of dreams, People just run out of time
I was listening to "Everything Is Different Now" yesterday and thinking how cool it was that, unlike many rock stars who write love songs talking about forever, he really meant it.
A refresher on those lyrics for those not as familiar with the song:
I hate to tell you this, but I’m very, very happy
And I know that’s not what you’d expect from me at all
I’m not the kind to smile and bow out gracefully
I always wanted to take it to the wall
But I found somebody with a heart as big as Texas
I found an angel with the golden wings
She saw me down here in the dark somehow
And everything is different now
Yeah, I miss the old crowd sometimes
And the wild, wild nights of running
You know, a starving soul can’t live like that for long
You go around in circles that just keep getting smaller
You wake up one morning and half your life is gone
I got so tired of that; I got so lonely
I dropped down and I called out to heaven
send me someone to love.
And heaven shot back, you get the love that you allow.
And everything is different now
Oh, and it’s sweet to know
The wisdom that living brings
Since I got a telegram from the God of simple things
She said, “I don’t care what you do for a living.”
She said, “I don’t care what kind of car you drive.
All I want to know right now is what do you believe in
And what it means to you to be alive
Will you stand here in this fire with me?
Are you ready for another life?”
So I bit that bullet and I took that vow
And everything is different now
Everything is different now
Today would have been my 35th wedding anniversary. He passed away Christmas night.
It just makes you realize just how fragile life really is. I never thought I would be a widow before I was 60. My son said life it too short & if going to see the Eagles is what you want then go for it. I am going! Today is just rough; lost potential.
Happy Anniversary to the Henley's.
jms, I'm so sorry. Remember the good times.
Soda, thanks for the lyrics. I love that song and those wonderful words!
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Sorry about your loss. My mom became a widow at the age of 45 (I was 11). It's been rough at times. Rough in different ways for me vs. my mom. The pain and sadness never goes away. It's been over 8 years since my dad died, and not a day goes by that I don't think of him (I'm like a junior version of him). I'm not too good at this stuff, but remember the good times, all of the memories that put a smile on your face, and share those memories with your son. I know that this might sound weird coming from a person who is less than half of your age, but it's what helped my mom and I cope with our loss.

And Take It To The Limit One More Time..............
Happy 21st Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hugh Henley. A beautiful couple.
Two special songs. In My Life he sung to Sharon at their wedding and of course Everything Is Different Now which he wrote about Sharon. I'm glad Don finally found that special someone. Here's to 21 more years.
