    Default Cork Air Crash

A small plane coming from Belfast crashed on the runway in Cork Airport in Ireland today. There were 12 on board and conditions were poor - severe fog was enveloping the area. The pilot made 3 attempts to land but could not do it sucessfully. 6 were killed outright, the other 6 are recovering in hospital. People are saying it was a miracle that even half the lives were saved.

One of those who perished in the crash was the cousin of our President's husband.

How sad Lisa! But you're right - six out of twelve survivors is pretty good statistics in an airplane crash. My thoughts are with the loved ones.

Thanks Troub. And PM. The good news is that they think that the six people who made it to hospital are going to be ok.

Yes, PM. I suppose a 50% Air crash survival rate IS good, but you can't help feeling for those who weren't in that statistic. And their families.

Of course - it's still tragic. They'll be in my prayers.

That is, indeed, very sad. My heart goes out to all of those who lost a loved one.

I saw this on the 10pm news last night. Dreadful. Thinking of those affected by it.

Gosh, I didn't see this post yesterday - I'm very, very sorry about this tragedy.

It's just so sad - 6 lives lost, 6 families affected, and friends of those families... the impact is tremendous.

I really do hope that all 6 survivors will pull through.

I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
And I know Glenn won't let me down
