Funk, thank you so much! So there's the Art Ford connection. As you know, Art is Randy's legal conservator now. Very interesting. I had been wondering when/if they worked together. I believe Art was a drummer in a band. He's in music publishing now.

You're a font of knowledge, Mr. Funk, and I thank you.

Better late than never— HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME ALONE!

I love how this album shows off Randy’s talents but at the same time it’s frustrating that it was released so late in the day. Some of these songs could have been hits at the right time. Still, I’m grateful to have this album at all.

This is the title track which has a great pop vibe and some belting vocals by Randy.

    Cool, ETG, how timely!

So do you have a favorite? My top 3 in no particular order:

    1. Long Time Blue
    2. Midnight Rain (a little Bob Seger-ish)
    3. One Less Fool

What puzzles me is that the song cuts off before the end. I imagine it's a technical flaw in the CD process, does anyone else's copy have this problem?
I just listened to this song yesterday and was really, really annoyed by that cut off! I can only assume the flaw is in the master, but they should warn people. Like you, I really like the song otherwise, especially the chorus.

I believe that all the versions of this cd (and there are several) have bed editing issues. It seems that whoever mastered this had no sense of quality control at all.

    My favorites are:

    1. All Alone In Paradise
    2. Lonely Alone
    3. Long Time Blue

And my cd has all the problems that everyone has mentioned.

Happy Anniversary to Love Me or Leave Me Alone!!

Released 15 years ago, this is Randy’s last “solo album” which was a compilation of various recordings over the years. It’s truly unfortunate that some of this material was not included on a proper solo album near the time of recording. Then we would have better editing/mixing and information about who did what and when. It has received positive reviews on Amazon and for those who are interested, the album is available on Spotify and Amazon Prime. This is a definite glimpse into what was possible and what Randy was capable of.

Here is one of my favorite songs from the album, “Long Time Blue “ co-written by Randy and Bruce Gaitsch.

Thanks for that, Delilah, I really enjoyed it! I only wish I could bring the vocal forward. I don't know the technical term, but when someone has a voice like that, you want it as clear and close as possible!
