Oh wow GLO, I apparently missed this when you posted it, and only saw it when Soda posted today. Thanks for finding that!

I thought that. I could see a bit of Jumping Jack Flash there.

Gram looks pretty high in this video. No wonder Hillman shit-canned him not long after.

This was evidently Jagger's influence as GP literally worshipped the Stones and tried to imitate Jagger's every move, to the dismay and disgust of the other guys in the band.
Yeah, I can see that. I can also see why his fellow Burritos would find that tres lame.

You never cared about Jagger or Gram? If you're referring to Gram I agree that his singing is overrated. He wasn't the greatest singer but his voice sort of 'touched your heart' as Bernie said. It's heresy to say so these days when he has been so deified.

Most of the people that knew Gram (including Bernie) agree that his deification is a bit overblown.

    Jagger always hated Gram too.

Overblown indeed. A deified drug addict...One can only imagine how he would be perceived if he were still alive.

That's the point. He was deified, just like Kurt Cobain & Jeff Buckley, because he died young. Because we don't know what type of music he would have created if he had lived it is so much easier to label him a 'genius' and close down all discussion.

Personally, apart from the magnificent Return Of The Grievous Angel, $1000 Wedding and The New Soft Shoe, I just don't think most of his solo work is as great as critics have made out.
