Thanks, Delilah! Randy moved to California in 1965! Wow.

This is a link to a June 1995 newspaper clipping from The Dayton Daily News about the time Randy spent in Ohio producing the Electric Range album. It’s a short article but it has some notable revelations:

    * Randy says “we” as in he and Bernie were both “kind of disappointed” they were not asked to be part of the HFO tour. This is the first time I’ve read about Bernie’s feelings about not being part of the Eagles reunion.

    * Randy’s “experience with vocal harmonies” helped land him the producing gig. Also, the studio’s owner and engineer said Randy was “a good choice” and that it was apparent he had a lot of recording studio background.

Very cool, Delilah! Geez, if I'd only known Randy Meisner and Hoyt Axton were in Kettering... Nice article! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much, Delilah! I have that CD and thought Randy did a very nice job with the production. It's really not a well-known episode of his storied career, so merci beaucoup for finding this.
