"Let's burn our long johns and head west" - Glenn Frey 1948-2016
I'm loving all this older material coming out of the wood-works!!! Keep digging ladies!
Thank you, NMB, this is awesome! And Rusty doing double duty on guitar and the lap steel (or whatever steel it is). Wow.
Right or wrong, what’s done is done
It’s only moments that you borrow...
I sure hope our friend Delilah finds her way back to The Border. Got an update on Randy's tv appearances. Reelin' in the Years controls the licensing for the Merv Griffin Show archives. Turns out Randy was on the show twice! We've only seen a brief glimpse of Randy performing "Playin' in the Deep End" from the August 3, 1982 episode, shown within the 1994 "American Journal" story on Randy's disappointment at being excluded from the Eagles tour.
Anyway! Turns out Randy was also on the Merv show in July 1981. He was interviewed and performed "Gotta Get Away" and "Hearts on Fire." He was also interviewed on the 1982 broadcast and performed, in addition to the aforementioned Deep End, "Never Been in Love." That would be really, really special to see. https://reelinintheyears.com/database-search/
Thanks for the info, NMB - very cool!

What a great find, NMB, great work!!
If only we could put together a "legitimate project" in their eyes so that we could see Randy's episodes...
Reelin' In The Years Productions does not supply our material to fans, collectors or other private entities.
We will only send material out for legitimate projects to clients in the entertainment industry.
Wouldn’t it be great if there would be an official DVD retrospective of Randy’s music career from The Poor through World Classic Rockers. You know I’ve always been a dreamer...
Wow - great finds - thank you so much ! It's amazing how many shows Randy was on. Loved the Poco video from the Tonight Show in 1990. Randy looks great. His hair was really long ! Boy, I would love to see the videos from The Helen Reddy Show on 7/12/73 and the Concert on ABC-TV on 8/03/1973. I got onto the tv site for the HR show but could bring up the show.
Thanks for the great info, NMB. And I agree that Delilah needs to find her way back here. You two were the dynamic duo of Meisner detective work! Keep dreaming...
