    Default Ridgefield, CT - May 14, 2017

Almost exactly a year after I saw Tim in California, I saw him in Connecticut!

It was his last show of this tour, and it was terrific. He was the most dynamic I've ever seen him at a solo show.

Right now, Dreamer and I have to go to bed because we are getting up at 4:45 AM to go to the airport (AARRGH) but I got a setlist and even a couple of pictures! I will be posting more either Monday or Tuesday.

    Timothy Rocks!

I didn't take video because I was trying to be a good girl, lol, but I did get these three shots of Timothy with my camera:

We got a program before the show - here's the cover and insert:

I nabbed a band member's setlist after the show (the songs Tim does alone onstage are not listed individually here).

This was a special show for me because I had so much crap go down when I was supposed to see Timothy a few months ago, and ever since I had to spend that night in the hospital while Timothy was playing only a few miles away, I've really wanted to experience a Leap of Faith show.

Tonight, on the last night of the tour, I got to have that experience - and Tim did not disappoint.

Over the past eight years, I've seen Timothy solo in four very different scenarios. The first time I saw him was a wild night at a packed bar at Schuba's in Chicago, surrounded by excited fans. The second was at a casino in California, sitting at a table a far distance from the stage, surrounded by people who couldn't care less (booo). The third was at the Santa Monica charity function, where I got to meet him (yay!) Then, there was this, the traditional theater show.

The place looked pretty much full to capacity and you could tell the people attending were really enjoying themselves. My seat alongside Dreamer was eleven rows back, but I had a clear view and the sound was terrific.

I think it must have been an emotional night for Timothy. He mentioned several times that it was the last show and lavished praise upon his talented backing band members and also his crew, whom he named individually. He told a few stories and seemed overall to be in good spirits - he got quite a few laughs. His wife was also in attendance, although I didn't see her.

His voice sounded wonderful overall. I found his version of "I Don't Want to Hear Any More" interesting (in a good way), and I was moved by his version of "Peaceful Easy Feeling." He certainly didn't neglect Leap of Faith, and I think all of the songs worked well live except, arguably, "You're So Wild." In fact, I think the energy of the live show actually improves a few of the songs.

Having seen Joe only six days before seeing Tim, it certainly brought home the difference between the two's styles. However, it's not just Tim = soft and Joe = hard. Both are more complex than that. Tim rocked "Parachute" (my favorite of the night). On "I Refuse" he, with the help of Hank Linderman on guitar, really tore it up!

I don't know when we'll see Tim solo again, but if he tours again and you can possibly go, do so! You won't regret it.
