That's very sad. My husband saw him live.
But the part about tours and appearances being cancelled..... well, yes.....
Have to admit I don't know him.
Wow - this is very sad. I remember Jeff Healy best by his appearence in the movie Road House starring Patrick Swayze. He appeared as himself with his band and contributed a lot of music to the movie's soundtrack. I knew he was blind, but wasn't aware that he had cancer. Of course, my condolences go out to his family and friends.

Like Dreamer, I remember JH from Road House. He was a talented musician and it's so sad to lose him at such a young age. I didn't realise his blindness was from cancer either. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
I possess the silver bullets to slay the demons from my past. How do I know? Because I survived them-and I am already stronger than I believe.
Very sad news for someone so young. My condolences to his family and friends.
I heard this on the radio yesterday. While I am not familiar with any of his work he seems to have been a great singer and a very corageous person. My condolences to his family and friends.

I'm not familiar with Jeff Healy, but I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was courageous indeed to have fought his cancer throughout his life, while still managing to become an accomplished musician. To have recorded with the likes of George Harrison and Mark Knopler - well, he must have been very talented.
What a terrible disease cancer is. My thoughts and empathy go to his family and friends during this difficult time. How terribly sad that they had to lose him at such a young age.
I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
And I know Glenn won't let me down
BTW Gracie on the FTF group let us know that Jeff Healey had a connection to Timothy!
Apparently Timothy sang background vocals on the "See the Light" album ( Healey's big album) in 1988.
