Thanks for posting this FF. On this matter, I'm with Team Don on principle. It seems from a legal standpoint that it's a "he said", "they said" situation that can't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt one way or another, so the criminal charges were dropped. To me, those lyrics are the property of Don Henley and, probably, the estate of Glenn Frey so, hopefully, Don will prevail in a civil suit. Hypothetically, even if Don or Glenn "gifted" them to someone, I have no doubt that they would have wanted them auctioned for a profit. JMHO
