Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
I saw this on facebook...so sad to hear. But I was glad he passed peacefully at home.
I didn't remember the story of him being a possible Eagle! Prayers for his friends and family. RIP, JD. Hug Glenn and Randy for us!

I couldn't believe this when I read this at work today...so sad to hear. I hope he, Glenn, and Randy make some beautiful music together.
I remember back in 2020, JD was going to play at a festival near where Nancy lived and I was thinking about going up there to see him, but darn Covid happened and it was canceled. I never gotten the chance to see him.

I'm sorry you missed him, Shun. I'm sure it would have been great. So many I artists would have loved to have seen. I have never been able to travel long distances to shows due to family and work obligations, and since I live in the boonies, nothing is closer than 50-100 miles. I remember that I couldn't believe Eagles were coming to Bossier City, 100 miles away (Dallas or New Orleans were as close as they came). Alas, my mother's Alzhiemer's had gotten too bad to leave her that long. Of course, I never could have dreamed it would be Glenn's last show.
My 70s heroes are passing away or retiring. If we get the chance to see a favorite, we'd better take the opportunity.

I'm terribly late in posting this, but I was heartbroken to hear about JD's passing. My heart goes out to his family. He was such a talented musician and songwriter who made a huge contribution to the success of the Eagles. He was often referred to as 'The fifth Eagle' back in the days before there actually was a fifth Eagle. Soda and I saw him perform in 2018 on Glenn's birthday at The Winery in Nashville.
John David Souther may you rest in eternal peace.
