In celebration of The Long Run album hitting #1 on this day in 1979, I thought I'd post a couple of photos from the era. I still can't get over the transformation here - made me better understand the caterpillar/butterfly thing back in the day.

Oh my gosh! This is a great photo and I never knew it! I'm seriously gonna buy that DVD.

And I have no idea who that guy is, either. Good-looking, isn't he?

ETA: Jackson Browne, JD Souther, and Glenn all have the Desperado photo shoot facial hair going on. Wonder if he's affiliated with that somehow?
