Eagley dream!!!

I had a dream that I went to pick up tickets for an upcoming Eagles concert and when they handed them to me, they were actually a cd that looked like a regular burned cd, no case, no nothing other than just the date, row and seat # printed in sharpie on it. When I got back in my car, I thought I would see if it would play so I put it into my cd player. I started scanning the tracks and I realized they were all of Joe singing but of songs I hadn't heard before. Then when I hit the last track, it was Joe's voice saying "congratulations, you now have the new Joe Walsh cd before it's released for sale". I was so happy and couldn't wait to get back home and get on the board to see if anyone else had went and picked up tickets yet and gotten their cd.

Great dream, Willie. If the guys tour in the States again soon you just might have to break down and buy you a ticket. You never know, this dream could come true.

ROAD TRIP!!!


I'm fairly certain that the Eagley parts of this dream I had were inspired by some of the discussions that have taken place recently here on The Border. Here goes...

I'm writing a story with one of my cousins. I don't remember which cousin it is or what the story is about. We've spent most of the day at my place writing and brainstorming. There's a knock at the door and somebody walks in (in the dream I know this person but i don't remember a name or what this person looks like or even if it's a male or female) and says to me "Jess, you've got to see this. I know you're gonna love it." They pop in a dvd and it's a brand new Eagles concert dvd. I'm completely stunned. The dvd starts out like a montage of the guys during their rehearsals and soundcheck. I see them tuning their guitars and warming up their voices in the circle of fear. There's even some cute little moments of them playing around and laughing and joking with each other. Joe said something funny and had everybody cracking up and Glenn playfully punches Joe in the arm. It then switches to an intro portion. It was kind of like how they intro an actor/actress on a tv show with their name at the bottom and showing different pieces of them during the show. I specifically recall seeing the intro of Don on the drums and he was smiling a lot (which was incredibly cute btw). My cousin practically yells at me to hurry back to the kitchen table to help her work on this story. I told her "Wait a second!! I can't just walk away from this dvd and be expected to concentrate on the story. This is a brand new Eagles dvd for crying out loud!!!" I then turned to the person that brought it over and said "How the heck do you already have this dvd and I didn't even know that there was one available?" I never found out what their answer was because my dream then skipped to me and my cousin on the football field of my beloved Oklahoma Sooners. There was some kind of big event going on and there were so many people there. Pro football players, musicians, actors, and actresses. ESPN was there covering the event. It was almost like the NFL combine where prospective college football players are being tested on their skills by the pro football scouts but this seemed to be a big deal and apparently brought in celebrities. We were just mingling with people and walking around when suddenly I see Glenn Frey standing by himself watching the OU football players working on some offensive plays. We walk over to him and start chatting like we're old friends. I don't remember much of what we talked about except that he was really interested in our story. We told him we were taking a break from writing because we got stuck on the latest chapter. We couldn't come up with some good words to fit with a certain part. He offered to help us out and my dream then skips to us sitting at my kitchen table working on the story. He tells us that we've got something pretty good going and he can certainly give us some good words to add in. I tell him thanks for helping us and he says "Oh it's no problem at all. I'm so glad that you two came over to talk to me because I was getting kinda lonely. The people that I arrived with left so i don't even know how i'm gonna be able to get back to the airport tonight. I don't know why they left me because I really am a nice guy. It seems like a lot of people are really intimidated by me. That's just silly. I'm just a normal guy." I offered him a ride to the airport and tell him that those people are just ridiculous for leaving him behind and that he really is a nice guy. He accepted the ride and said "You two are some pretty cool chicks! I'm so happy that I'm here right now." I said "Me too. I can't believe how cool it is that you're here at my house right now." He said "Well I'm a pretty cool guy." I then said "Hey, I've got a question for ya." "Ask away" he says. "On your song The Heat Is On, are you singing 'the beat's so loud' or is it 'the beat's alive'?" Before he could answer the question I woke up.

That was a very odd and vivid dream. I know i didn't explain it as well as I dreamed it but I'm never very good at explaining things like this. I'm just glad that I can remember these dreams.
