As for the limo thing, I know it happens, but it seemed like they were pretending, because otherwise they would show the crowd of people, wouldn't they? Didn't seem like there was anyone around....I think there was an incident with Micheal Jackson where someone got hurt.
I said you weren't the one who said it!! I can't remember who did. Geez, we're over 50! Can't see, can't remember...life is good.

OutlawmanNJ said something about how Glenn seemed to be acting in this scene & then Thirsty & Hot said he seemed to be hamming it up.

When I eventually see this I intend to make up my own mind although I have enjoyed most of the comments here.

Thirsty&Hot was right. He was hamming it up in order to "clown around." It was part of the joke!

But if you have to explain a joke to someone, it's already a lost cause. They're not going to find it funny. You either get it or you don't; once a joke goes "WHOOSH" over someone's head, it's too late to do anything about it!

Because Troubadour posted those great screen caps in Glenn's and Don Henley's threads from the scene in the room where they are asked about sex and drugs, I've been thinking about how great it was to get stuff like that in the doc. That's the kind of stuff I was hoping for and that and the limo scene are just plain fun! I love the interaction between young Glenn and Don.

Yes, you can tell by the sound of his voice that he was putting it on and I didn't see where it was ever intended to be 'natural'. I mean, think about Don. I seriously doubt he and Glenn sat after every show and compared themselves to other band on the limo ride back to the hotel, and how it was the songs that let them rise to the top. Guaranteed the normal conversation had to do with the chicks they could see from stage and which of them would be at the 3E party.

I also find it really sexy the way Don says "Yes I would like one. I'm going to drink tonight."
Yep, for some reason I found it so funny that Don announces that he's going to drink tonight. He's not just going to have a couple of beers - he's going to drink tonight. Quite a commitment!

Must be my NY sense of humor, but I don't think any of it was funny

Yeah, I think you've made that pretty clear! This is what your third, fourth post detailing your "issues" with it? Geez! Lighten up!

For me, even something as simple as Don asking Glenn if he'd eaten anything and Glenn replying "I had a bowl of Rice Crispies" makes me smile. It's like we're getting a little peek into their everyday lives, and I think that's cool.

Thank goodness for the Super 8 Camera with sound!
