When I went to OKC last summer to see Don solo, I had third row seats, the closest I had ever been, so I was trying to take a lot of pictures. A good number of other people were taking pictures too. The stage was pretty high and I was to the left, so I wasn't right in his line of vision. Anyway, somewhere about the 4th or 5th song, he says, "A couple of pictures per song is okay, but some of you are trying to turn this into your own personal photo session. Please stop--it is distracting." I immediately blushed and put my camera away. He did it in as nice a way as possible and I knew he was talking to everyone, not just me, but still I was embarassed. Later on Soda sent me a bootleg of that very performance, which was very special to me because he sang a new, slower version of End of the Innocence that just blew everyone away. Anyway, when I heard that camera comment again, I still felt like he was talking directly to me!![]()
