Why Dreamer, whatever do you mean?

Now don't get me wrong - I like all of the remaining songs. I'm just going to tell you why I like The Long Run the least. For me, it's just a little mundane compared to the others. Even ICTYW, the ballad of the bunch, has a lot more going for it than TLR. And In The City? Come on guys, it's no contest. TLR just trudges along - ITC rocks! And it is an Eagles song!!!

This is probably the hardest survivor for me. I can not choose which song to vote for next.

Right now, I'm pretty much going on how do I feel about song X today, or at this very minute.

TLR, HT and ITC are all very different, but all very good.

Right now, I'm turn between TLR and HT. I was very sad to see Those Shoes gone... I'm not sure I can handle ITC being gone as well.

I know this has been brought up before too... when all things are equal, we take other things into consideration... so right now, do I consider the fact that Seger and Souther co-wrote HT? Then again, didn't Joe have a non Eagle co-writer for ITC?

    UGH!

Any solid agruements for any of the remaining three? What makes one better than an another? I guess it just comes down to personal preference, eh?

I vote for In The City. Simply my least favourite (by a small margin) out of the remaining songs. It's very, very difficult to separate them, although I would love to see The Long Run stay in at least another round. As well as being the title track of this album, I think it's a really important song in Eagles history. The fact that they have stood the test of time, despite going through some tough periods (not least while this song and album was being recorded) makes me happy. The lyrics speak volumes.

I agree with Lou. While I will be upset if ITC Goes, I'd rather have TLR Stay. IMO

Great arguments here, ltlh. I totally agree with you on this. And when it comes down to separating these last 4 songs (including ICTYW, TBF), a song written by only the Eagles are going to be my top picks.

Or my top pick might be the song I like best!

Troub, I like what you have to say about TLR! I didn't even consider the fact that they chose it as the albums title or the importance behind it.

I base my decisions in this game purely on the music and lyrics of the song. I'd make myself crazy if I tried to base it on anything else. Now if you say that you like the songs equally and you need something else to base your decision on, then I guess I can understand taking other things into consideration. Fortunately I don't have that problem. I don't like any of them exactly the same. They are all on different levels.
