What does one wear to solve a murder with Glenn Frey?

I'd like to know what happened, too, Soda!

I actually had a dream last night and I know Don H was in it, but for the life of me I can't remember anything else! I do remember thinking that I had to remember it so I could post it here. I've tried to remember it all day.

The long dream seems horribly like a cross between Boris and Natasha, the cartoon; and the tragedy of Natalie Wood, the movie star. Solving the mystery with Glenn still sounds like a nightmare. It must be some kind of television or movie set conscousness in technicolor! I'm sure that many suspenseful dreams are not themed from reality.

Yeah, realism has never been a central tenet of my dreams. lol

Speaking of which, I had another last night. Not as exciting as the last one, but it may amuse. I think it might have partially been inspired by the fact that before going to bed, I had watched five parts of David Starkey's "Monarchy" on Netflix.

In my dream, I was back with Kate (glenneaglesfan) in Devon like I was in 2006, only instead of being at her house, we were in some kind of a dormitory with a line of single beds, all with green bedspreads. The walls are also painted green. There are windows but they are really high up and you have to stand on a bed to see out of them. We have just seen an Eagles concert and we are really excited.

There is someone standing on one of the beds looking out the window and she calls out that she can see Don. I look up and it's Lou. Suddenly there are tons of other people trying to get onto the bed to see Don but then the window disappears and there's nothing but a framed ticket hanging on the wall. Disappointed, everybody gets back down and starts to leave. Finally, it is just Troub, Kate, me, and Lisa (Glennsallnighter) who has appeared out of nowhere. We start packing up our suitcases and getting ready to leave. "Too bad that was the last concert," I say sadly.

"What are you going to do now?" Lisa asks me.

"Go home I guess," I reply. "But who knows when they will do more shows?" We are all sad. Suddenly I get the feeling someone is eavesdropping on us but I look around and I can't see anything. I keep on talking. "But I can't leave until I find my other sock." Turns out I'm wearing one black sock. Lou, Kate, and Lisa all try to help me find my sock but they can't.

Suddenly Glenn appears. "You've lost your socks again? You're always doing that. It's like a running gag."

We all act like it's not strange at all that Glenn is there. "Yes, she always loses her socks when she visits," Kate adds.

"That was only one time," I reply, but everyone is smiling. It's all good-natured.

"We're all staying in the dormitory tonight. If you can't find your socks, you're welcome to stay, too," Glenn says. Then he disappears.

I immediately stop looking for my socks! "I think you guys can stay too," I tell Lou, Kate, and Lisa. "Just take off one of your socks." They all immediately do so.

Suddenly it's night and I'm all alone, standing guard at the door of the dormitory. I hear knocking but it's the middle of the night. "If you're a salesperson, we're not interested!" I call. I try to see through the peephole but I don't see anything.

Then I hear a baby cry. Whoever is out there has a baby! I try to decide whether to let them in. I wonder if I should go wake up Glenn and ask him if it's OK to open the door, but then I think he would be mad at being disturbed if this were a trivial matter. I decide to open the door.

There are two girls who look to be in their 20s. One of them has a baby. They push past me rudely to get in. I'm concerned that this all may be a big trick and I've let in people I shouldn't, failing in my duties as a guard. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" I ask them. "Do you guys know the Eagles or something?

The one with the baby glares at me. "That's none of your business!"

She seems so mad that I'm taken aback. "Well I was just trying to see if it was OK to let you in..."

"Who are YOU to determine who gets in?" She says.

I realize I don't know why I'm doing guard duty, but I'm not going to tell her that! "Why won't you tell me who you are?" I demand. "Do you have something to hide?"

"We know Glenn!" The other girl declares. "And we're going to tell him how rude you have been!"

"Hey, I'm just trying to keep everybody safe," I protest.

"Do you think we can do anything to hurt anybody? We have a baby," the girl says, and kind of thrusts it at me. I step back and don't take the baby and it starts crying and the mom scowls at me. I still feel like there's something not quite right about these two. Why are they so defensive? Why are they trying to intimidate me? I don't trust them and I don't believe them that they know Glenn, and now I'm regretting letting them in at all! I want to throw them out, but what if they're telling the truth? The only one who can verify their story is Glenn - but I'd have to disturb his sleep and he might get mad, especially if these really are his friends. What to do? If I don't act fast, the decision will be taken out of my hands, because that noisy baby will wake the whole place up!

That's when I hear footsteps behind me. Who is it? Lou? Kate? Lisa? Glenn? Don? Tim? Joe? One of their wives? One of their entourage? Irving? Tom? Jerry? Will whoever it is be on my side?

Before I could turn around, I woke up! A rather unsatisfying ending lol.

The dream includes a decent decision to let in the girls with the baby, even though they may not belong. That's a tough social situation to resolve.

I'd have thought that you would have had to ask a very tired Glenn about the new arrivals.

The strange side of the dream, is that all of the people in the dream are friends, until the unknown strangers create uncertainty, conflict, and discord.

Your dreams are almost like short stories!

We'll call them post-modern stories and then their bizarreness can be passed off as art. lol

I think that you have a real talent for narrative, descriptive prose and for developing character, setting, and dialogue; and that you could probably write, and maybe even one day publish, some capable fiction.
