Thanks for that, VAisFEL. I love Jack's advice fellow songwriters. Something along the lines of 'find yourself a superstar to write with before they become famous.' And yep ... I agree that Jack does seem to be a bit off on the timeline. I mean, I know it was a good time and all that, but exactly how long does he think the 70's lasted?

HaHa! I just came here to post as well, a friend just sent the link in an email!

Yeah, not sounding good for this year and he's very careful to say that next year isn't even a given. A two-DVD documentary sounds good, though. I can tell you, I sure am glad we decided to do the Atlanta shows after all, and I guess this means I have more time to save for the new tour. Assuming I don't follow Glenn all over the country on his solo tour.

I'm not a real happy camper to hear that there may not be a 40th Anniversary Tour!!! Now I may have to rethink going to see something out of town!!

I think he's quite serious, and not a tease. However, there's nothing saying that they won't play elsewhere this year with the current set list. I can envision a place like MGM talking them into another fall date, and they don't want to drop off the radar completely. Just a guess on my part. No '40th tour' doesn't mean 'no dates at all' and he mentioned 'handful' and not a specific number.

Not to sound as if I am glad that there's no tour this year, because I know it's disappointing for everyone, but personally, it's a lot better for me if it is next year (for financial reasons). It gives me time to save up and do a VIP package!! OMG... I would just die... That being said, I could manage another show late in the fall.. that would be really nice!
