In terms of this year and the Eagles at this point I am not at all suprised! With Joe and Glenn putting out albums, to me it became quite clear that the focus was on solo work right now and I don't have an issue with that. Can't wait to get the Eagles DVD tho!

Yep - looks like this is going to be 'solo' year. But, I agree that, at the very least, there will probably be a few scattered Eagles dates scheduled in the fall similar to the shows that are coming up soon. Oh well, no one ever accused our guys of being quick!

Shoot! I was planning on it this fall.

Oh well, there are several other bands I'd like to see this year if they aren't doing it. And more time to save up.

I think the same thing (without the VIP package), Lizzy. By 2013 I may be able to afford to go to a show. Can't wait for the DVD!

Good to hear that Glenn takes out the garbage & cleans up after the dogs. LOL!

I think they will be doing a few shows & I still have hope they will do New York, even if they are only doing a few dates, I am hoping NY will be one of them!!

Wow. I understand that people are disappointed about the possibility of no Eagles shows, but I was delighted to read an interview with Glenn in Rolling Stone of all places.

And then to see those comments below..... I think some people don't realise how difficult it has been for Glenn to get good press coverage & how antagonistic some people who claim to be Eagles fans are towards him.

This is Glenn's time; the first time in 20 years. I for one intend to enjoy it. I'm sorry if that is a minority opinion but it is how I feel.

I agree with you, FP! I was delighted to see a Glenn interview too, & in Rolling Stone to boot! I am really enjoying this "Glenn's time" & I hope there is much more to come! "Enjoying" is quite an understatement actually. I am estatic! I so hope that this album is a big success for him. He deserves it!

No, I agree, FP. This is Glenn's time, and even Joe's time and it could be Don's time if he ever releases his solo album(s). If they aren't going to make it a 40th anniversary tour, then it makes sense to wait.

I told the guys in my band, "The reason I like coming out there is because people do what I say, and this is the only place where that happens."

Presumably the Eagles argue with him more & just don't automatically do what he says, although we know very well that he pretty much always gets his way, as this interview proves.

Because of the statement prior to that where Glenn says

"You just have to keep perspective. As long as I keep taking out the garbage and cleaning up after the dogs and taking the kids to school, I'll have perspective. I don't get to bask in the afterglow much"

I took that to be less about the bands .. and more about working around the house LOL I thought it was a very sweet comment actually
