Well, that repeats that Don enlisted Gibney, whereas in every interview Glenn has done about it including the NZ Herald one, Glenn appeared to make it clear that he (Glenn) started the process.

Supporting his warts'n'all claims is that Frey roped Alex Gibney, director of the Academy Award-winning Taxi to the Dark Side and the Oscar-nominated Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room among many other hard-hitting docos.
"I was just blown away at this guy's storytelling. I said 'I don't even care if he knows anything about music. I just want to go to hm and talk to him about having us telling us our story.'
"I met with him in to New York and said 'here's what I want to tell you about the Eagles, there were always obstacles. There were always roadblocks. There were always challenges. We changed managers, producers, band members, accountants, record companies ...'."

And TK, I really don't understand why you have to make such a big deal of them looking 'unhappy'. You know, this is a big event which they are taking very seriously. We should be enjoying it, not griping about it.
I'm not making a big deal of it, but I have sure seen them looking in a better mood than this. I guess they were asked some serious questions! Just not the best picture of our guys!

I wondered about that, too, but apparently in this press conference Don told a different story.

So do we now have two conflicting versions of how this started?

I suppose I am biased, but I always assumed that Glenn, as the band leader, was the one who initiated it & had control of it. What to think now? I hate to see them in disagreement like this. Maybe Don suggested Gibney & Glenn then had to get him on board.

Oh, it's not a big deal. Perhaps they both came to the decision together.

Yes, they are probably in perfect agreement over it...just the fans that care... I refuse to look for an argument that probably isn't there.
