The crack about Henley telling Frey how more successful he (Henley) was as a solo act when they are in the same room is beyond pathetic & negates the (almost) nice things she says about Frey's career. I have to say; it is rare to find a writer who appears to hate Henley more than Frey. What a maverick. What a free spirit.

    Juvenile, self-indulgent garbage.
Most people, and I have no idea why this is, when they say someone is from the South, they do not mean Florida. Florida is the only state in the South east of New Mexico that the people don't speak with a southern accent. Maybe because the state is full of transplants? And yes, the Eagles sing quite a few of their songs with a Southern/Country accent, some stronger than others.

I found the juvenile, self-indulgent garbage amusing.

Trivia; Glenn once said 'I'm from the East, Detroit' where Michigan as far as I know normally gets 'Midwest' attached to it.
Maybe he meant Eastern timezone? Even after all these years, he's got a midwestern cadence to his speaking. All the interviews he did last year, you can tell he's from the midwest.

I was getting a bit pissed about her comments about the songs but then I decided it's better to laugh at it that get worked up over it.

It was an awesome line. And your right Freypower, see did seem to hate DH a bit more. LOL comparing him to that creepy evil little girl from the ring That little girl is so feared the writer must really not like hom. As i said earlier he can sing me to death anytime

I have to admit, I'm with you. It wasn't horrible or anything, but honestly, it wasn't that clever either. The shots were easy and obvious ("Henley and Frey are dicks" - real comedic genius there). This is pretty much the equivalent of fart jokes to me. Fart jokes will get laughs but they aren't really that impressive. Give me John Stewart-esque intelligent satire over fart jokes any day. (No offense to those who did think it was funny - it's just not working for me).

I can't believe no one else has pointed out that she spends a whole paragraph making fun of something that didn't actually happen!! Did you guys not read this scribble?

To answer her question: No, you were $hitting yourself.

Seriously? No real wit, juvenile garbage, and fart jokes. I guess I need to have a serious talk with my sense of humor and make sure it knows it's not allowed out of the box anymore.

I lived in Michigan for 9 Years as a kid, and definitely considered it the Midwest. I've pretty much always considered the Midwest to start at Ohio, but I guess it's somewhat subjective. Glenn has never totally lost his accent, which surprises me a little bit. I still have friends in MI, and he sounds a lot like them. With a little Southern California surfer occasionally thrown in (to me anyway).

I just thought it was funny in the article that she skewers them for being "self-proclaimed cowboys", and implies that none of them have any geographical cred, yet Don is from Texas of all places. You don't get much more cowboy than Texas. I mean I know he's from East Texas, and was never a cowboy, and I could point out that the Desperado album was a metaphor to the Eagle hating author, but I'll stop while I'm behind this evening

I still can't get over that she thought the Eagles only got that name after spotting the bird in the Joshua Tree photo shoot... apparently not noticing that it was the photo shoot for THEIR SELF-TITLED ALBUM CALLED EAGLES.... ????

As a Texan, I can say we often don't count ourselves as part of the South, but we sure as heck like to pretend we're all cowboys!

That was silly of her, soda. I can't believe any band would get to the photo shot stage without having a name.

BTW i didn't now you were from Texas, anywhere near Don?
