I never recall Lyin' Eyes being edited back in the day. The radio stations I listened to played the whole song ... and they played it a lot.

It’s an amazing documentary although Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner didn’t quite get the credit and attention they deserved (if you ask me). It was great to see these guys at that young age! The developing of the band was a journey of its own, just amazing to see! Joe Walsh was in my opinion the most honest (and funniest!) about everything, he was an addict for a long time and he got over it. Talking about that showed me what a great guy he is! I think that documentary is going to stay in the dvd player for good....!

I've been too busy watching this documentary over and over, to even think of posting on here...To me, they could have added a whole lot more, but you have to draw the line somewhere...I am LOVING watching it over and over..don't want to miss anything...SO SO glad they did this...

I think Joe was very contemplative with his statements. I don't think he was necessarily the most honest. I thought they all seemed to give honest recollections.

I guess I feel that Bernie was featured a reasonable amount of time. Randy could have been featured more, but maybe that was his choice. He seems pretty quiet or shy to me.

I can't remember how it was edited, I think the middle verses were dropped, but the Lite Rock station used to play an edited version in the 90's. This was in Springfield, IL. The Classic Rock station always played the full versions.

I do recall hearing a version on an oldies station here with the middle verse removed (about the boy across town)...which does really take away from the story indeed!!

I've watched it once so far since I bought it the other day, and i'm going to watch it with my mom one of these days. She used to love them back in the day, she told me life gets in the way and she forgets how much she used to like music and certain bands, so I think I need to help her revive her love for them!

My hair is naturally curly/wavy. It was straight til I was 12, then became curly. Once I was old enough to figure out how straighten my hair, I did that once in a while, but it was too long to deal with all the time. Then when I cut my hair into my now signature bob in college, I've pretty much kept my hair straight most of the time. People who didn't know me before are always shocked to find that my hair is naturally curly.
T&H, my hair is also wavy & maybe like yours. I have had it straightened a few times & had a Japanese straightening, but now I have stopped & just use a flat iron, but back to DON

I find it hard to believe that Don would be straightening his hair for the past 40 YEARS!! That afro was from the early 70's, & has not been seen since.
Also, I think women take more time with the hair thing than guys do. I think after awhile Don just let his hair go natural, & maybe his natural hair is a little wavy, but it is not afro hair! LOL

Well, thanks to the lovely Glennsallnighter, I received the beautiful deluxe set for my birthday and I have just finished watching the second DVD. I absolutely loved it all. So much amazing footage! I did have one big revelation, though...

I can't wait until I have the time to sit down properly and screen cap the heck out of this thing! It has made me very happy during a crazy and sometimes overwhelming time. Love those guys, warts and all.
