I've just started watching Part 1 again, and wanted to mention the moment right at the beginning, just after the second line of 7BR. Joe, in a very Gooberesque moment, makes eye contact with Glenn, and shakes his head slightly and winks. To me, that split second shows the respect Joe has for Glenn, as the leader of the band. He actually looks Glenn's way after the first line, but Glenn's not looking at him then. Do you think Joe is seeking approval in some basic way?

Maybe! I'll have to go watch it again and see if I can detect some more nuances.

I love how Glenn greets the audience in DC ..."We're the Eagles from Los Angeles", as if no one would know them! Lol! I get goosebumps just listening to him say that!

He used that line at every show.

That is The Confessor, one of my favourites of all Joe's solo work.

Sorry FP, I forget that folks not familiar with our TV shows here in the states won't know what I'm talking about.

Goober was a character in the popular TV series, The Andy Griffith Show (1960-1968. ) The look Joe gives Glenn reminded me of Goober.



Someone else will have to grab the screen cap. My bluray disc won't play in my laptop, and I'm sure my explanation of Gooberesque will mean nothing to you without the comparison.

Thanks for doing those GL! The part I'm talking about is just a little later, after the second line. I took a picture of my TV screen. It's difficult to see what I'm talking about by just this cap, but you get the gist of it.




The fourth of GL"s caps shows the first time Joe looks at Glenn, but Glenn has his eyes closed. The second time (my cap) they make eye contact and Joe gives that sideways glance and half wink. I can almost hear him saying "How am I doing, Boss?"
