To tell the truth. Before the documentary, I didn't know Timothy and Randy were in Poco. I've heard of Poco(mostly because of Jim Messina from Loggins and Messina), but I never seen who were in the band.

Me neither, in fact I didn't even know about Loggins and Messina or anything except that they were a band who had some minor hits in the 70s. I think part of whether you know about Poco and who was in it depends on your age group.
I wish they had talked more about the relationship between Don and Glenn, too, in the documentary. It's the center of the doc in some ways but it's presented very simply as essentially "Team A = Don and Glenn" without any of the complexities that we know are there.

I'm 33. So Poco and even the Eagles were way before my time. The only reason I've heard of Loggins and Messina is because I'm a huge fan of Kenny Loggins music and the greatest hits album I bought of Kenny's had a few Loggins and Messina songs on there. Then I heard Jim Messina was in Poco. I probably was reading that online as I was looking up Kenny Loggins years ago. I don't even know what songs Poco sing.
Want to know what's sad. I didn't know Randy and Bernie were in the band until I watched the documentary. I just knew about the two Dons, Glenn, Timothy and Joe since I started listening to the Eagles in the 90s.

I had always thought that they only played one show at Disneyland, but Linda's book says "they played there for a week for 'end of school year festivities' and several shows a night." When they weren't performing they played poker with Smokey Robinson and the Miracles in the artists' lounge.
Linda also remembers this differently:
Her and John Boylan were at a Troubadour Hoot Night scouting musicians for her back up band and saw Don with Shiloh and liked the way he played the drums. Then she says she asked Glenn to come along and play guitar because Bernie was busy with the Burrito Brothers. She said Glenn wound up rooming with Don and then they started writing music together and decided to form a band. John suggested they add Randy and she then suggested Bernie.

Thanks Brooke. I still need to get Linda's book. I didn't know they played a whole week together at Disney Land either.
And very interesting that Linda's recollection is different from what Don and Glenn have said about how they became members of her band. I guess the important thing to remember here is that they DID!
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."

Bernie's recollection of how he came to join is slightly different, too. When I find my glasses, I'll transcribe.
I guess the important thing is that were all in the same pool and there were multiple connections. From other stuff I've read, Glenn had being looking for suitable band members for a couple of years but Randy and Bernie were maybe a cut above who he thought he could get and that's where Linda's patronage helped.
Fp, I had to have just seen it in print or I wouldn't have remembered it either!
Like dreamer said, I'm just happy they all found each other!

Discalimers: This may already have been posted, it doesn't really say anything new and it may only be available for UK listeners...
Back in April the band were interviewed for BBC Radio 4's Front Row to coincide with the DVD release in the UK. It starts 1:30 in.

Slightly different twists:
- Glenn says that Joe getting sober meant the whole band got sober.
- Much mirth about the Long Beach recording.
- Timothy describes being in Poco travelling to the next college gig and not being able to get "Take it Easy" off the radio and wondering what they were doing wrong and coming to the conclusion "we're not crafting songs".
- Don H describes Don F as one of the best guitarists in the world "but sometimes personalities get in the way of creativity and get in the way of work."
