An hour on the bike at 5:00 am? Dang!

Thanks for posting that. It's fun to re-read!

An article about the guy who took the photos of Glenn at a newstand. Not a poster child for 'what I want to be when I grow up'. I've often wondered what kind of person takes these kinds of pictures...

    From Rolling Stone's 25 years ago round-up:
    6. Glenn Frey gets muscular
Glenn Frey of the Eagles signed an endorsement deal with Jack LaLanne fitness centers, showing off his muscular body, which he described as the result of 1,500 sit-ups a day, five days per week. What motivated him? "They offered me a shitload of money," he said, and made a spirited defense of commercial endorsements: "I do not cling to this antiquated hippie mentality that says it's us against them. I personally do not consider Pepsi-Cola or Old Style Beer or the Health and Tennis Corporation to be the enemy. This is the age of adult rock stars."

    Good find, VA. Thanks!

And UTW - that link isn't working for me. However, I love Glenn's bluntness as well. Although, it may be a turn-off to some people, he has pretty much always been like this and it definitely works for me. I have kind of a tough skin, so I prefer straight-shooters. Back in the day, I actually had a friend who had a tee shirt with the red circle/slash symbol over the word 'Bullshit'. I always really liked that shirt, and would have loved to have had one, but my mom would've never let me wear it.

I've replaced the link and it seems to work.

Another of my favourites is that (according to Joe's manager) during the HFO tour, Glenn wore a t-shirt that said 'That's Mr. Asshole to you.' It just tickles me.

I got that one too VA! Its interesting for me because on my photography course we are studying about composing shots, having the right artistic elements in the shot (in the right proportion etc). You spend longer composing the shot as opposed to taking it. This article shows just the opposite!! You snap and run!!!

I shared it with the class anyway!

    I love the bluntness.
Holy crap! That's some exercise regimen! I wonder when exactly they approached him?

    1500 situps a day?! OMG, I could never do it. I can't do 20! Well, I guess I could, but I don't want to!

I bet if they were paying me as "s*&$#*d" of money to do them I would reconsider though!

I think I saw something about him being approached after the owner of the chain saw the "Livin' Right" video.
