    Great question. I'm not a theory guy (most of my heroes were selftaught and more old school by ear and that's how I went about it), but my guess is that it has something to do with the time signature or tempo of the song....

    Get Over it is in "straight time", in a Chuck Berry type fashion. It's actually my favorite type of song to play over as far as lead guitar.

    I remember Glenn describing Get Over It as 'Straight Chuck Berry: never play a seventh' on the doc.
