I agree with everyone else. Great song, and I love Don's deep voice. I hope that he sounds more like that on the album.

I'm actually not the biggest fan of Dolly's voice, so I went into it a little wary, but I ended up really enjoying how she and Don sounded together. And yes... Don's lower register made me swoooooon.![]()

They sing this song beautifully together. I'm amazed at the quality of Don's voice here.
I really like it too. I think Dolly is a bit loud compared to Don, but great song!

Hmmm, Don must have wanted her voice to be that prominent. They could obviously have brought it down in the mix to whatever level they wanted.
Don's singing on the low bit reminds me of Willie Nelson - the way he sings it.
My kids love Jolene - they'll think it is so cool that Dolly and Don Henley did a song together - can't wait to have the CD.
I guess I shouldn't had said overpowering or oversinging Don, but her voice is loud and prominent. You're probably right, MC. He probably wanted her voice prominent in the song. I don't think I ever heard a duo that Dolly did where her voice is stands out more than her duet partner. They do blend great together. I guess Dolly just has one of those very strong soprano voices.
Somehow missed this yesterday...

You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
I am wondering when the album will be available for pre-order on Amazon?
Well I love Don and can't stand country music. Would I like a Henley country album? on the evidence so far the answer is no. I'm not enjoying it at all. My opinion of country music stands, my opinion of Don is on the wane.
I really enjoy Glenn's After Hours but Don's Cass County sounds like it could be purgatory.![]()
