I came across Target's preorder for Cass County while looking for other things on their site. The track listing contains 2 bonus "exclusive" songs, bringing the total number of songs to 18. Yeah, think that I might wait and go to my local target to buy the album there.

I saw that today. I haven't preordered yet other than buying Take A PIcture of This and That Old Flame.

I guess I'm heading to Target on the 25th. I really hope my local Target stores will be selling Don's new CD.

I was gonna preorder the album from Don's site tomorrow, but since it'll be released on Spotify on the 25th, I'll just wait until October and find it locally (FYE,Target or Walmart)

That's great news AG95! It actually says two exclusive tracks so I wouldn't be so sure that they are exclusive songs. Would Don force his most loyal fans to buy multiple copies of his CD? What about us fans who can't get to Target?

Don's performed enough interesting live covers to make two exclusive tracks an alluring prospect, whatever they are. Anything from the recent Austin City Limits live performance would be a treat, especially Talking To The Moon and The End Of The Innocence

I always thought that tracks and songs were the same thing. It says "exclusive" on the packaging, so I assumed that Target has the dibs on this version of the album.

I'm sorry but why would Target of all places be releasing an album with two extra tracks? You will notice it doesn't say what they actually are. I am very dubious about this.

Heck. If I was Don standing a few feet from him, I'll just forget about singing and just stare at him. Lol Maybe sing a few notes.

Those backup singers look so young, but they are so lucky to sing with the best.

Oh I don't know about that! They are young enough to be his daughters to really close to be "granddaughters". They look really young.

Target often has exclusive tracks on the hits cds they carry. I have no idea how they got to be so important in the big screen of things, but almost every major new release gets at least one exclusive track. Most of the times they are additional new songs (i.e. the most recent Boz Scaggs and Coldplay cds), but sometimes they are songs recorded years ago that have never appeared elsewhere (James Taylor) or even live cuts. I would be willing to bet the two Henley extras are worth having as they could very well be extras (i.e. "Seven Bridges Road" which he apparently did record but ditched for the new album).
