Don't we all (sigh). Somebody's gotta know the answer to this: When was this picture taken? And for what (a magazine)?

    That concert-pose picture... Sigh indeed

Also, thanks for posting the Perfect Beast shot MH. That's the biggest version I've seen.

Do you know who that is? Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia in Star Wars). Many years ago she & Don used to live in the same neighborhood and took that picture with him for a short interview, which might have been in Rolling Stone. I'll see if I can find it.

Excuse me? This can't be serious right? She was on NPR a few weeks ago peddling her newest book and my husband who heard it says she was really off the wall! A few to many drugs in the 70's perhaps?

Edit: What the hey--DF didn't you just post part of that interview? Or am I seeing and imagining things? Where did it go? Maybe I'm to one that did to many drugs in the 70's!

No, you aren't hallucinating--I did try to post the interview. When I saw that only part of it came through, I deleted it so I could try to post it another way. Still working on it....

And yes, it is the same Carrie Fisher. She is a veeeeeery colorful character and the interview is a little....different.

The concert pose one and the sweaty one are very heavenly indeed-thanks so much for posting them!
The concert pose one reminded me of how much I love the way Don uses his hands when he sings. Has anyone else noticed this? I really noticed it a lot during HFO, also during HOTM 1991.

I know I'm a little late in weighing in here, but a huge thanks to DF for sharing that IJ press kit and to Soda for making those screen caps. I just turned to a big puddle of goo when I saw those shots of Don with his kids. I don't remember ever seeing any pics of him with his kid before. They are so sweet, and Don looks like such the proud papa.
