"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Sure Brooke. Now it might just be how i interpreted this poem becuase i said it was asking what would happen after all the material good were gone and that ATTIS tells us what happenes after its gone.But here is the poem:
The Nymph's Reply to the Shepherd
by Sir Walter Raleigh
1600
If all the world and love were young,
And truth in every shepherd's tongue,
These pretty pleasures might me move
To live with thee and be thy love.
Time drives the flocks from field to fold,
When rivers rage and rocks grow cold;
And Philomel becometh dumb;
The rest complain of cares to come.
The flowers do fade, and wanton fields
To wayward winter reckoning yields;
A honey tongue, a heart of gall,
Is fancy's spring, but sorrow's fall.
Thy gowns, thy shoes, thy bed of roses,
Thy cap, thy kirtle, and thy posies,
Soon break, soon wither, soon forgotten,
In folly ripe, in reason rotten.
Thy belt of straw and ivy buds,
Thy coral clasps and amber studs,
All these in me no means can move
To come to thee and be thy love.
But could youth last and love still breed,
Had joys no date nor age no need,
Then these delights my mind might move
To live with thee and be thy love.
Any kind of love without passion
That ain't no kind of lovin' at all
The poem is a reply to Christopher Marlowe's The Passionate Shepherd To His Love.
Yes it is FP we also analyzed it as well.
Any kind of love without passion
That ain't no kind of lovin' at all
I think it's cool that you were able to compare it to ATTIG in class.

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
I watched Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones dvd from 1969 last night and saw a few brief shots of Bernie Leadon when he was a Burrito. That is one SCARY documentary-type show, it was tense through the whole thing......
The point is Bernie was in it.....and lived to tell about it
...
So if you see me walking all alone, don't look back. I'm just on my way back home.
Thanks GOS! I can follow.

Today I saw a car with the license plate GF-DON - 12!
I could not believe, I had to look immediately a few times to believe it! Unfortunately, I had no mobile phone near by for a photo!Damn!
"For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14-year vacation!"
(Glenn Frey)
We've seen quite a few things on this trip that have reminded us of the Eagles. Mainly place names... Donley, Glenrio, Wildorado... Plus the Dancing Eagle casino! Also, Annie said loudly 'Fines Double' from the driver's seat the other day. She was reading a sign. Jess didn't have a clue what she was going on about, and could only hear 'fine stubble'. (You think we have Don on the brain a little too much?!)
We had a funny moment yesterday when we went to the Grand Canyon. The guy at the gate asked us if anyone in the car was 62. After looking mildly offended, I joked to Jess that we should have brought Don along - he could've got us a discount! Darn it.
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
