Picking and choosing band members has been an R&RHOF issue for years. The problem with Kiss is, do you induct all six of non original members (two of whom were in the band for less than two years)?
It's still a point of aggravation for Fleetwood Mac fans because only the original lineup and the Rumours lineup were inducted - Bob Welch wasn't.

I've never heard of it. It might be closed to the public and kept quiet, or it might be sloppy reporting. Worth some investigation, though.
ETA: Unless he's referring to Glenn's Golf-for-Kids tournament in 1998 and/or his second Golf-for-Kids tournament in 1999.
