Soda! 2005! You have managed to cram an entire Eagles education worthy of the bandmembers' parents into such a short time period--I am flabbergasted! (I don't think I have ever typed that word before...)

I actually don't know how you did it in such a short time period! I mean, I look to you as the all-time Eagles expert...what, did you do your thesis on them or something??

I am an information addict and when I start getting into something, I want to know as much as I can about it. I started getting back into their music through seeing Don Henley with Stevie Nicks in 2005, and as a result I began listening to and finding out more info on the Eagles.

After listening to the Very Best again and again and again, I got so into Glenn that I decided to do a site for him which opened on his birthday in 2005 (I had some prior website experience, so that wasn't too hard, albeit time-consuming). In the process of gathering material for Glenn Frey Online, I learned more and more and more... then I started doing the other sites and learned even more... and now here I am!

The doctor says: Warning--Once a Borderer is 'in the Eaglefever', a visitation (or re-visitation) to a LROOE concert may be advised. However, said Borderer must then be apprised of the very real risk of developing PEW, which can then be addressed in a variety of ways. These include: endless playing of CDs and DVDs of both Eagles and solo works; hours spent in front of the computer commiserating with other Borderers as well as pouring over HSG photos of said Eagles; and in the most severe cases, re-visitation to another LROOE concert. This last treatment, obviously, runs the risk of leading that Borderer into the "vicious cycle phenomenon"--recovery from which will exhaust finances quicker than Glenn Frey can turn heads at Pebble Beach.

Alternatively, those fans residing in regions seeing an abundance of LROOE shows may soon follow suit, as their finances dwindle to a level incompatible with attending further shows.

Get this. Tonight I was putting away records for 2008 and came upon an old diary that I had lain in a basket, waiting to be read again to see what was in it. It's been in this basket for years. Probably 3 or 4. I decided to read through it to see if there was anything interesting.

Tuesday, November 23, 1976 entry: "I took off work early today so we could go see The Eagles with Joe Walsh and John David Souther in St. Louis."

I have been trying to find this date for years! I knew the approximate year (76, 77, 0r 7, but could not remember exactly, for the life of me. Proof at last!

Going on with the entry: "It was great! They sang all the songs off of the albums we have plus some from their new album 'California Hotel'. I've waited to see them for so long and I wish it wasn't over! I love them!"

I THOUGHT I loved them then. I had no idea what that would turn in to! Of course, there was nothing else with the diary. No ticket stubs, no pins, picks, or anything else! But yet, I'm so happy to find this out!

Brooke, I'm sorry, I edited your post when I meant to quote it. I can't claim anything like this, although I've been a fan since 1975. The fact that you got to see them back then is just amazing. Also I notice you refer to 'the Eagles with Joe Walsh'. It was hard to believe he'd joined them permanently, wasn't it?

My 30 year thing refers to the release of The Long Run. Need I say more? It is a specific 'event' if you like.
