Yeah, Don looks really well during the intro 'though it's a shame he wore those tinted glasses all the way through the show. I'd have loved to have seen his gorgeous blue eyes. The crew cut wasn't great either to be honest. He looked so much better and hotter five years later in the F1 interviews.

Thanks everyone ~ yes, I am a professional artist so there's no excuse for me :hilarious:

Unfortunately, I don't have much time for painting as I'm trying to finish a PhD so I just snatch a few moments whenever I can which is why I haven't painted any of the other guys 'though they all have interesting faces - especially Joe who has a 'well lived in face' as the expression goes.

This time next week I'll be waiting in anticipation for them to come onto the stage!!! I can't believe the time has gone so quickly....and so to honour my lovely Don, here's a couple more quick sketches...

Apparently it was the Today show and he was talking to Bryant Gumbel (is that a real name?) about Waldon.

Hi DivineDon - I just went to the Friday night one - wish I could have went to them all !! The shows were just class, was even in a perfect seat to take great photos - if we had been let :sad:

Gosh, Don looks so well here. I prefer it to the 'official' shot from the HOTE programme. I thought that was too airbrushed. In this he looks natural, distinguished and dignified :heart::heart::heart: (even his hair looks pretty good although a shade too dark perhaps)

This picture popped up on Don's facebook page about two hours ago. It looks new. I've never seen it before, but its a very nice beautiful picture of Don. A little stubble on his chin and his blue eyes pops out in the picture.

Don looks hot in this picture and his hair is soo perfect. I have to admit. I'm a sucker for long hair Don, but it has to be down and not in a ponytail.

He fitted right in that night. I wonder if the audience knew that was Don.

As for going natural. He's probably going to dye his hair by the time the Eagles go back on tour later this month. He usually does. From what I notice. I saw his hair be very gray to dark brown(whatever color he dyes) a few weeks later.

Thanks, Lacken, my sympathies to you too for your dad. That picture of Don warms my heart. I've been having the worst time ever lately, not just about my dad's death of course, but my own health. I've had to take sick leave from University just as I was nearing the end of my PhD 'cos I've been feeling really rotten for the last eight months. I mentioned about nearly passing out at the Eagle's concert in June - well, it wasn't only Don's fault!!! I've finally been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism (I know a mouthful). I have a nodule on my parathyroid gland which is positioned either side of the voice box. It controls the amount of calcium produced in the blood and because of the nodule my calcium is very high. Symptoms include chronic fatigue, anxiety, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, dizziness...to name but a few. I've been in A & E three of four times not knowing what's wrong with me. Eventually, after an ultrasound, the nodule was discovered which, to quote Don, was a kind of 'Horrible relief'. I'm not going mad or depressed (which the doctor told me!) but I have to have surgery to remove it and that requires lots of scans and tests so it's a waiting game and I'm very frustrated. Plus my dad's death was very hard to deal with so I definitely need Don in my life to cheer me up :thumbsup:

P.S. if any of you out there ever had parathyroid trouble or know someone who had, please PM me - I would love to discuss it with someone who understands what's it's like. Thanks

Hey, DD, I just read all this. I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad, and to have the health issues on top of it is a lot to handle. I'm glad you have a diagnosis. Do they have any idea what causes these things? Good luck with the upcoming surgery and all the tests, etc that happen between then and now.

I like most of his looks apart from the Inside Job one - that hair and glasses - not a good look !!

I actually think he's looking mighty fine these last few years even with his beard - it does kind of grow on you after a while .....:razz:

I love Don in the red plaid shirt as well - he wore it when they played Atlanta, GA, on February 24 this year - which makes me so jealous that I wasn't at that concert as it would have been the perfect birthday present for me :grin:
